Welcome to the Hinesville FUMC Preschool & Kindergarten!  Our school is an outreach ministry of the Hinesville First United Methodist Church to our community.  Hinesville FUMC Preschool & Kindergarten welcomes all children in our program.

Mission Statement

The mission of Hinesville FUMC Preschool and Kindergarten is to promote the overall growth and development socially, emotionally, physically, spiritually and intellectually within a loving and innovative environment for children, to ensure they become caring, creative, and productive individuals.  Through Christian love, we will provide a learning community with the highest standards in education.

Philosophy and Purpose

Hinesville FUMC Preschool and Kindergarten strives to provide quality education in a Christian environment.  Our program places emphasis on the child’s own experimentation, self-direction and self-expression.  We want to enhance personal, social and cognitive development through daily routines and activities.  We also want to provide age appropriate challenges to assist the child in mastering these concepts.  Our program provides a warm and nurturing environment to assist with the child’s personal and educational growth.

Each individual class will post a schedule of its daily activities.  Parents will be notified of each field trip and must give written permission for their child to participate.  Children ages six weeks through five years are accepted, regardless of race, creed or national origin.  Hinesville FUMC Preschool and Kindergarten places children in classes by their age as of September 1st.

Hours of Operation and Holidays

School hours are 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Failure to observe the operating hours will result in additional charges.  Children may arrive 5 minutes before class begins, but 10 minutes is too early.  Early arrival makes the first activity too long for a young child and interrupts teacher preparation time.  Picking up your child promptly at dismissal time is very important.  It is upsetting to a child to be left after other children have gone.

A fee of $5 per 15 minutes will be charged after the first incident of late pickup.  The fees must be paid by the next school day.  Failure to pay may result in the temporary suspension of your child.  All late fees and charges are strictly enforced.  Parents should submit a written notice of withdrawal from the program at least two weeks in advance.  Failure to notify the Director of your child’s withdrawal may result in full monthly tuition.

Please refer to the school calendar for the holidays and breaks.  We will comply with the Liberty County School System on emergency days off due to weather, etc.
