SPECIAL CLASSES:
Music: Children sing, dance, and respond to music. They are exposed to a variety of songs, Bible stories, solfege, instruments, ensembles, dances and games. They also learn about composers, musicians, and music vocabulary. Guest musicians and field trips to musical events are possible. Children will participate in a Christmas program, “Preschool Sunday” performance, and a Patriotic picnic performance.
Chapel for 3’s, Pre-K, and Kindergarten: Children participate in songs of praise, prayer, and Bible stories/ devotional with the Pastor weekly.
Computer for Pre-K and Kindergarten: Children attend computer lab weekly to learn basic computer skills. A wide variety of software is available to reinforce specific classroom lessons, and seasonal themes.
Library for Pre-K and Kindergarten: Classes take weekly field trips to the local library. Children are actively involved in various library skills, and literature appreciation.
Spanish for 3’s, Pre-K and Kindergarten: Children are exposed to Spanish through stories, song, and culture. The goal is to become familiar with basic Spanish vocabulary and the alphabet in Spanish.
Physical Education: PE is offered to Kindergarten students weekly. Goals are to strengthen coordination, and motor skills, and to increase their knowledge of fitness. A variety of activities are offered to promote teamwork and cooperation.
